- Can you sum up the Beef Days celebration?
Beef Days has become a passion for all of the 450+ volunteers it takes to hold this event each year. It’s the one event in this community that not only allows family and friends to get together and celebrate but it’s unique from the standpoint that it is staffed by volunteers from the non-profit groups who are raising money needed to fund all of their activities and projects for Solon and the surrounding area. The Beef Days Committee is proud to be the catalyst and organizers to make that happen. The reward not only comes from seeing a project we funded directly but from all of the other groups in what they are accomplishing. Beef Days has become a tradition and an integral part of the Solon community and Eastern Iowa. As credit to the Committee Members we continue to break records year after year when we think it can’t be done. It truly is the one event each year you can give back at any level of involvement and help out your community.
